Having worked hard and invested a lot of time, effort and money in to our business The Village Chippy is very proud to announce that we have received the coveted 5 star Scores on the Doors award from Ashford Borough Council. We will be displaying our certificate here on the website just as soon as we receive it from the council.
If you are thinking of having a Fish and Chip party or Corporate event The Village Chippy can cater for all of your requirements. We can offer a full or set menu and we can even tailor make a menu especially for you.
Area Coverage: The Village Chippy covers an area of approximately 60 miles from J10 of the M20 Ashford Kent.
Guest Numbers: The Village Chippy can cater for as few as just 50 guests. If you cannot quite make that number please still contact us and ask for a quotation as we can sometimes still accomodate smaller numbers depending on the distance to travel and service times etc
London Low emission Zone (LEZ): The Village Chippy regrets that we are unable to enter the LEZ area due to the restrictions placed upon us and the £200 per day fee charged by Transport for London.
The Village Chippy is pleased to announce the arrival of our latest mobile fish and chip van. The bespoke van represents a substantial investment by the Managing Director of The Village Chippy Susan Yardley. Susan says, with the new van and it’s ultra high specification we continue to invest heavily in the future. The Village Chippy is now able to cater for larger numbers in a shorter service time which is a substantial benefit to our ever increasing customer base.
At the heart of the van is a high capacity 4 pan frying range which will not only enable The Village Chippy to fry more fish and chips faster but will also use less LPG gas, therefore helping us to stay competitive and keep costs down whilst helping the enviroment, everyone wins!
Take a look in the gallery section and see our new van for your self which is sporting the latest Village Chippy livery.
The Bailiffs Sergeant is a friendly, community spirited pub in the seaside village of St. Mary’s Bay. It really is the hub of the community as it provides not only hospitality but also plenty of entertainment. At least once a fortnight there is either live music in a variety of genres or a very popular karaoke night. The Pub also hosts a number of darts, pool, and quiz teams. In addition cards and board games are available too for day to day entertainment. In the winter a real log fire adds to the comfortable and cosy ambience.
On Tuesday evenings from 4 – 7.30pm The Village Chippy parks in the Pub car park and prepares tasty traditional fish and chips for their loyal customers who often take the opportunity to pop in the Bailiff for a pint before taking their traditional fish and chips home.
The Village Chippy would like to thank Landlady Sue for her unwavering support over the last 3 years.
